"The reason I was asking was I got an email from the media editor of the German magazine, Der Spiegel, the other day asking if I would do an interview about the World Cup. I happen to have the same name as a famous English journalist, Piers Morgan, who is a mad football fan. I think Der Spiegel googled "piers morgan", found my blog, and got my email address from there, without really reading the blog.

Anyway, the interview was all set to go, but apparently he got an email from the other Piers Morgan, saying he was in LA filming a TV show, when I had previously told him I was in Melbourne. He still hasn't realized he's dealing with two people, but I don't think I'll keep leading him along because he seems like a nice guy and I don't want him getting fired for my little practical joke.

I'll still do an interview, if he wants."
